Surfing Contest – ‘double point score’ – Saturday 31st October

Summer arrived early at the Wellington Boardriders Club skins surfing contest at Lyall Bay on Saturday.

Super fun, clean, glassy, chest high waves and sunshine, greeted the 40 competitors at our inaugural surfing event.

The club caravan took us back to the 70’s and kept the officials toasty.

All in all the day was a great success.

First place results as follows:

• Under 18- Ethan Burge
• Under 14 – Lewi Barr-Brown
• Open Womens – Hayley Rogers
• Under 18 Womens – Maia Whitaker
• Over 40 – Rico Lane
